STRATEGIC PLAN

The
Board of Directors approved a 3 year strategic plan for Operation Access in January 2008. An operations plan has been created for 2008 to support the long-term objectives with 4 driving strategies:

  1. Arrange donated diagnostic, surgical and specialty services that provide access to care and strengthen the safety net for low-income, uninsured people in the Bay Area.
  2. Promote medical volunteerism while continuing to expand and enrich the local OA network of volunteers, hospitals, clinics and other health facilities.
  3. Help other communities address the unmet needs of low-income, uninsured persons through collaboration, technical assistance and replication.
  4. Strengthen organizational capacity to maximize results.

Values: Hope - Service - Compassion - Respect

Vision: To help bridge the healthcare gap in the Bay area while becoming a national model for medical volunteerism.

Core Strategic Areas:

  1. Patient Care/Program Services
  2. Network Development
  3. Replication
  4. Capacity Building
