OA provides donated outpatient surgeries and specialty care that are medically necessary and elective (non-emergency).  Surgical procedures are limited to those in which the standard of care allows for same day discharge (outpatient surgery).

The most common Operation Access procedure is hernia repair, followed by a wide variety of specialty procedures.

The following types of surgical procedures are available:

General Surgery Specialties
> Hernia repair > Ear, Nose & Throat
> Cyst & lipoma removal > Eye
> Minor ano-rectal procedures > Orthopedic
    > Urology
    > GI - Endoscopy and colonoscopy (this service is not available in all counties)
