Community Clinics are
a critical resource in the Bay Area’s healthcare
delivery system. They provide accessible healthcare to
a patient population which is low-income and insured by
government insurance programs or not at all. Clinics provide
the patients with a medical “home” and provide
ongoing care.
Community clinic medical providers
identify patients who are candidates to receive surgery
through OA and make the referral directly to OA. 60 community
clinics located in 6 counties in the Bay Area refer patients
to OA.

How
Our Program Works
Community clinics refer uninsured
clients to Operation Access for outpatient surgeries.
Operation Access screens
clients for eligibility. We provide interpretive
services for non-English speaking clients and coordinate
all surgical care appointments on their behalf.
