Melissa Ovalles, Regional Program Manager

 

 

 

 

Melissa joined OA in 2005 as a Bilingual Program Assistant to handle patient referrals, screen patients for eligibility, perform administrative duties, schedule patients for appointments and assist with surgery sessions.  In her current position of Regional Program Manager, Melissa also assists and now manages the collaboration between Stanford and UCSF medical students in OA surgery sessions.  In addition to those roles, she is also Case Manager for Marin and Alameda County and coordinates the scheduling and management of patients within those counties. Prior to joining Operation Access, Melissa completed a pre-med post baccalaureate program at Harvard University’s Extension School.  She graduated from Santa Clara University in 2002 with a B.S. in Psychology and is currently taking classes towards a medical degree.
