Daniel Chen, Program Assistant

Daniel Chen interned at Operation Access in the summer of 2006 through Health Career Connection, and rejoined the OA team in the fall of 2007 as a temporary Bilingual Program Assistant. He is in charge of processing new referrals, screening English and Mandarin-speaking patients, and creating letters and faxes to patients and clinics. However, at times he also engages in creative work and assists in technology problem solving. According to Mr. Chen, the hardest task he has ever faced at Operation Access is writing his bio for the OA website. Daniel was born and raised in Taiwan. He moved to Davis, California at age sixteen, and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology.
