Our staff of ten coordinate a network of more than 550 volunteer surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and medical technicians who provide surgery through 22 participating hospitals in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Patients are referred from 60 community clinics.

The Board of Directors and Advisory Council are comprised of prominent healthcare professionals, and community/business leaders.

OUR MISSION
Operation Access is a non-profit organization that mobilizes a network of medical volunteers, hospitals, and referring community clinics to provide low-income uninsured people access to donated outpatient surgeries and specialty care that improves their health, ability to work, and quality of life.

OUR FOUNDERS
OA was founded by two leading Bay Area surgeons, Douglas Grey, M.D. and Bill Schecter, M.D., with the assistance of Paul Hofmann, Dr. P.H. (read more).
